A graduate of the Faculty of Law at Charles University in Prague, where he completed a regular Masters degree and doctorate studies the department of criminal law.

Career
He initially worked in 1998 in the international law firm of Clifford Chance – Prague.
From 1998 to 2002 he was assistant to the Minister of Justice of the Czech Republic, where he participated in conceptual department issues, the legislative process and the management of the office. After a period at the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic he became a permanent member of the regular meetings of the leadership of the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic, secretary of the permanent advisory committee of the Minister of Justice in the matters of the service relationship of employees of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic and secretary of the legislative committee for the preparation of a new bankruptcy law.
From 2002 to 2005 he was a judicial trainee at the Municipal Court in Prague, focusing on civil and criminal proceedings. He undertook preparatory judicial service in the jurisdiction of district courts in the civil/commercial, executionary, inheritance, custodian and criminal sections, and in the jurisdiction of regional courts in the commercial and administrative judiciary sections. In 2004 he passed the judiciary examinations.
In his legal practice he focuses on contentious, non-contentious and contractual proceedings in the fields of civil rights, business and criminal law. He also focuses on arbitration proceedings and mediation. He has worked as a barrister with the law firm since 2006.

Other activities
He has been a barrister since 2005 and, since 2006, arbitrator and chairman of arbitration proceedings at IUSTITIA – rozhodčí řízení, spol. s. r.o. (www.irr.cz).
