JUDr. Jaroslav NOVÁK, Ph.D.

Education
A graduate of the Faculty of Law at Charles University in Prague in 1996. In 2000 he was awarded the titles JUDr. and Ph.D. In his work he focuses on issues related to tax administration and the study of tax reforms in Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic.
Career
He was already working with JUDr. Petr Toman during their studies at Faculty of Law at Charles University in Prague. He has been involved in advocacy since 1996. In his professional career he was first an employee, an articled clerk, a barrister and then a partner of the law office of JUDr. Petr Toman. He became a barrister in 1999.
He has experience from numerous contentious proceedings in diverse fields of law. When representing Czech and foreign clients he acquired experience in litigation in several European jurisdictions (England & Wales, Austria & Liechtenstein, Switzerland etc.) He has provided services to important commercial and financial entities in the fields of commercial, financial, banking and criminal law. He works on cases with international aspects.
Publishing activities
He is an active publisher. Since 2004 he has been a regular contributor to the Real Estate section of the Mladá fronta Dnes daily and the program “Občanské Judo” on TV Nova.
Awards
In the LAWYER OF THE YEAR competition held in 2006 by the law portal EPRAVO CZ in cooperation with the Czech Bar Association, JUDr. Jaroslav Novák, PhD. together with his colleague JUDr. Stanislav Devátý, Dr. were in the top five nominations in the category category ‘Civil Rights and Human Rights’.

JUDr. Jaroslav Novák Ph.D. is registered in the list of barristers maintained by the Czech Bar Association under No. 4143.
JUDr. Jaroslav Novák, Ph.D. is a member of the International Bar Association. He is an arbitrator at the arbitration court IUSTITIA - rozhodčí řízení, spol. s r.o. registered offices Trojanova 12, Praha 2 (www.irr.cz), which he established with his colleagues for arbitrating disputes pursuant to Act No. 216/1994 Coll. on arbitration proceedings.
In his free time, aside from his private activities he dedicates himself to charity and publicly beneficial activities.
