LAWYERS’ TARIFF RATE

The lawyer’s fee paid by a client is based on their agreement. The lawyers’ tariff rate is a legal standard, which defines the boundaries of such an agreement together with the ethical rules of the Czech Bar Association. The lawyers’ tariff rate will not be applied for calculation of cost reimbursement in relation to court proceedings, which are to be paid for by the losing party, because in this instance the cost reimbursement calculation is based on the Decree of Flat Fee Application (apart from the administrative judicial system).

The lawyers’ tariff rates as well as the ethical rules enable the lawyer and client to agree in a specific case on a fee based on achievement of a certain result in the matter, the so-called success fee.
